for more efficient teams — specs, contracts and AI agents

Frame 190 (11).png

Why is this topic hot?

What we’ll talk about

AI agents have made writing code the cheap part – the bottleneck has moved to deciding what to build and proving it was built right. A vague ticket now turns into confidently wrong code at machine speed, billed in tokens, reviews, and rework.

Spec-Driven Development (SDD) is the industry’s answer: GitHub (Spec Kit), AWS (Kiro), and a wave of startups are all converging on the same idea – make the specification the primary artifact, turn it into executable contracts, and let agents implement against tests they can’t argue with.

This session shows how SDD wires together EARS, TDD, BDD, and DDD into one AI-native pipeline – an approach Hekuran has built (and runs himself) in day-to-day delivery at Ciklum.

  • The real SDD workflow: daily execution from ticket to merged code.

  • Avoiding common traps: the biggest mistakes teams make in AI adoption – and how SDD prevents them.

  • The evolving role of the engineer: what developers still own when agents write most of the code.

  • Designing reliable specs: turning requirements into specifications that agents can execute reliably.

  • Delivery-driven approaches: multi-agent pipelines, automation hooks, quality gates, and TDD integration.

  • Managing AI-assisted projects: planning, slicing, and tracking work when part of your team consists of AI agents.

  • Measuring real impact: tracking delivery performance with DORA metrics.

Hekuran Islamaj,

Senior Fullstack Engineer at Ciklum

Hekuran Islamaj is a Senior Fullstack Engineer with 9+ years of experience, based in Albania. Backend-heavy by background, he works daily with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, Java, and Python on AWS infrastructure managed with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, delivering on a large-scale enterprise platform.

His recent focus is AI-assisted engineering: he designed and built a proprietary Spec-Driven Development framework on top of Claude Code – featuring multi-agent pipelines, automation hooks, and quality gates. He also brings hands-on production experience with RAG pipelines on Amazon Bedrock, LLM integrations, and GPU-accelerated inference. Hekuran holds an MSc in Applied Computer Science and has also taught software development and DevOps courses.

This event will be interesting for:
  • Software Engineers working with AI coding assistants in modern tech stacks ( Node.js, TypeScript) facing real-world engineering challenges;

  • Team Leaders looking for a structured framework to adopt AI-assisted development across their teams;

  • Technology Leads and Architects who need AI-generated changes to be predictable, reviewable, and measurable;

  • Project Managers aiming to understand how AI-assisted delivery reshapes planning, estimation, and team velocity.
