The Monolithic systems era is coming towards its end. Now these solutions are being actively replaced with microservice architecture. It provides us with small applications with independently manageable and deployable components.
Yet, microservice architecture requires a proper solution for the frontend layer. And it can be MFE - a micro frontend.
SAP Hybris is a widely used product which provides omni channel capability to provide solutions for the Retail Domain. Hybris has improved its backend system and provided OCC which acts as a microservice (not completely) but the Front End Layer is still monolithic.
